Brian McCarthy

Vice President, Industry Relations and Operations

Brian McCarthy is Vice President, Industry Relations and Operations for the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association.  He is responsible for both the day-to-day and long term operations of the association, which includes financial and operations management, administration, and strategic planning.  Additionally, Mr. McCarthy leads the association’s industry relations activities with Member PBMs and Affiliate pharmaceutical manufacturers, and directs all conference and fund-raising operations.

Prior to joining PCMA in 2003, Mr. McCarthy spent ten years in public affairs, marketing, business partnership development, and corporate relations. Mr. McCarthy came to PCMA from the American Council of Life Insurers where he spearheaded the trade group’s for-profit business development and corporate relations. In addition, Mr. McCarthy has served in senior positions at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the Health Insurance Association of America – now America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP). Mr. McCarthy is a graduate of the University of Delaware.
