Kristen Pumphrey
Senior Director, Industry Relations and Conferences
Kristen Pumphrey is Senior Director, Industry Relations and Conferences for PCMA. In this capacity, she helps manage the Association’s Boards of Governors which act as steering committees for planning conferences and other industry relations programs. As the Association’s conference planner, she manages all aspects of site selection and coordination, vendor management, speaker recruitment, registration and onsite management.
Previously, as Meetings Coordinator, with the American Academy of Otolaryngology, Ms. Pumphrey handled all logistics relating to their Washington Advocacy Conference and Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO – a meeting with attendance in the thousands. Prior to joining the Academy, she was Meetings Manager for the American Council of Engineering Companies. She began her career with Hyatt Hotel’s Corporate Management Training Program where Ms. Pumphrey completed a year-long concentration in Convention and Meeting Management.
She is a graduate of Virginia Tech and holds a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Tourism Management with minors in Communications and French. Ms. Pumphrey is a member of Meeting Professionals International — an industry association — where she serves on the Community Outreach Committee.
