Conference Agenda

1:00 PM - 2:00 PM America's Debt and Deficit Crisis: Issues and Solutions

Erskine Bowles - Former Co-Chair, National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (2010); President Emeritus, University of North Carolina; Former White House Chief of Staff and Former Administrator, Small Business Administration,

Alan Simpson - Former Co-Chair, National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform (2010) and Respected Republican Leader,

Everyone in Washington knows that the current fiscal path America is on is unsustainable, unconscionable and predictable—but few have the political will to enact the hard choices that must be made to get the country “back on track.” Appointed by President Obama to co-chair the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform and co-Founders of The Campaign to Fix the Debt, Alan Simpson and Erskine Bowles provide a candid, bipartisan discourse on what America’s leaders must do to confront what many see as the largest and most critical economic, social, business and national security threat that the country faces. From taxes and spending to entitlement and Social Security reform and encouraging business growth, Simpson and Bowles offer an enlightening discussion on solutions for bridging America’s deficit, debt and interest gap.
