Melodie Shrader

Vice President, State Affairs

Melodie Shrader is Vice President, State Affairs at the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association. Ms. Shrader brings an extensive background in non-profit management and politics. In Ms. Shrader’s role at PCMA she oversees state legislative and regulatory activity, policy development, lobbying, and coordination of member company state activities. She also represents the Association’s interest before state intergovernmental organizations.

In all, Ms. Shrader provides nearly 30 years of management and political experience including 12 years representing a pharmacy benefit management company and other heath care entities as a contract lobbyist. Ms. Shrader served as the CEO of the Kentucky Tourism Council, the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Kentucky Association of Health Plans. She led the government affairs efforts of the Generation & Transmission Electric Co-op and was the director of a state-wide political think tank focused on electing pro-business legislators.

Ms. Shrader graduated from the University of Evansville and attended the University of Kentucky Gatton School of Business. She is a Leadership Kentucky alumni.
