The US is expected to spend, at an annual rate, between 4% to 7% on prescription drugs when accounting for discounts and rebates. That is down from 12% spending growth in 2015, according to a report from Quintiles IMS Holding. The report also projects a slowdown in wholesale branded drug price increases of 8% to 11% with net prices rising only 2% to 5%.
