The health and safety of attendees at the 2022 PCMA Annual Meeting is a top priority. PCMA is continually monitoring ongoing COVID-19 developments and will make future adjustments as necessary to provide a safe and collaborative environment.
Given the CDC’s recent announcements to further reduce the protocols for covid safety given the 95% immunity they believe the country has through either vaccination or infection, we will not be requiring vaccine verification. However, the well-being and safety of our attendees is our top priority.
1. Please do not attend The Annual Meeting in person if:
– you feel unwell; for example, if you have a fever, a cough, difficulty breathing, or other COVID-19 symptoms
identified by the CDC.
– you have been in close contact within the last 14 days before the meeting start date with anyone who is known
to have laboratory-confirmed COVID-19 or anyone who has any symptoms consistent with COVID-19.
2. Please consider bringing enough masks, disinfectant wipes, and hand sanitizer for the duration of the trip. PCMA
will also have these items available at the PCMA Registration Desk.
3. Please consider taking a rapid COVID-19 test at home prior to traveling.
4. Should you experience any COVID symptoms onsite then PCMA will have free rapid antigen COVID test available.

Q: What are your vaccination protocols for event?
- PCMA surveyed our members, sponsors, and past attendees, as well consulted with external health and safety professionals, and has determined that the safest, most productive way to conduct this event is to ask that all attendees be vaccinated. For our past two in-person conferences 99% of interested attendees were vaccinated. Only a handful of interested attendees were not. For the 2022 Annual Meeting we will allow for those few unvaccinated individuals to attend with a testing protocol in place for them.
Q: How will PCMA verify that attendees are vaccinated?
- All registrants will be asked to show their vaccination card and government issued ID at registration upon check-in at the conference. Alternatively, you may upload your vaccine card in advance. Additional details on how that will work are coming soon.
Q: Will unvaccinated individuals be permitted to attend any portion of the event?
- If you are unable or unwilling to show your vaccine verification, PCMA will provide you with a COVID-19 rapid antigen test for self administration when you check-in at the conference.
Q: If you have previously submitted proof of vaccination for a previous PCMA conference, do you need to show proof again?
- No, you will not be asked to submit this information again.
Q: How will masking and distancing be handled?
- Our conference sessions will take place indoors. At this time, masks are not required indoors in CA, and PCMA will not have an indoor mask requirement.
- Sponsor and member private meeting rooms are all indoors.
Q: How will PCMA handle tracking and notifying attendees should it become known that a COVID-19 infected individual was in contact with conference attendees?
- PCMA attendees will be issued RFID badges upon check-in, and should it become necessary for health and safety notification purposes, we will access attendee passage through security checkpoints to determine PCMA conference events and venues attendees visited on the Del property. However, this may not apply in many of the common spaces throughout the property.
