The Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) today announced the appointment of former Nevada Insurance Commissioner Scott Kipper as the association’s new Vice President of State Affairs.
Mr. Kipper was twice appointed Commissioner of the Nevada Division of Insurance and served as the Deputy Commissioner in charge of the Office of Health Insurance for the Louisiana Department of Insurance, and as CEO of the state’s Office of Group Benefits. He also served as the Administrator of the State of Oregon Insurance Division.
Before his appointments to senior government posts, Mr. Kipper led legislative and regulatory efforts for the Health Insurance Association of America and America’s Health Insurance Plans.
“As a former Insurance Commissioner and health industry executive, Scott has broad experience with the challenges our industry faces in the states,” said PCMA President and CEO Mark Merritt. “We are excited and fortunate to have him on our team.”
