Waltz Health’s Jeff Park Inaugural Representative of
PCMA’s Newly Created Affiliates Council Board Seat
(Washington, D.C.) — The Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) is pleased to announce that Adam Kautzner, PharmD, President, Evernorth Care Management & Express Scripts Evernorth Health Services, has assumed the role of Chair of the PCMA Board of Directors.
Kautzner succeeds Mostafa Kamal, President and CEO, Prime Therapeutics, LLC., who completed his term as PCMA’s board chairman.
In addition, PCMA is announcing the creation of a new Affiliates Council to represent the association’s mid-market and innovator companies. This segment of the industry has been growing in the PCMA membership, with five new companies joining in the last year. The PCMA board is being expanded to include the chair of the Affiliates Council, ensuring that this critically important market perspective is represented at the table. Jeff Park, President of Waltz Health, is serving as the Affiliates Council’s first board representative.
“I’d like to thank Mostafa for the tremendous work he’s done advancing our industry, and congratulate and thank Adam for taking up the chairmanship to lead us forward,” said JC Scott, PCMA’s President and CEO. “We are also excited to welcome Jeff to the newly created role representing our Affiliate members. In the highly dynamic and rapidly evolving business of pharmacy benefits, PCMA is committed to fostering diverse perspectives and approaches across our industry. Our work is rooted in aligning all companies in our industry on the key principles of preserving client choice, promoting market competition, and standing up for the role that PBMs play in delivering access to affordable prescription drugs.”
“Americans are paying too much for their prescription medicines, and PBMs are committed to doing our part to lower their costs,” said Kautzner. “PBMs are the primary counterweight to drug company pricing power and the part of the drug supply chain lowering costs for Americans and employers. I look forward to working with PCMA and my fellow Board members as we advance solutions to make medicines more affordable and accessible for the people we serve.”
As president of Express Scripts and Evernorth Care Management, Kautzner leads benefit solutions for Evernorth Health Services across pharmacy, medical, and care for health plans, employers, and government programs. Kautzner’s deep understanding of the dynamic benefits environment drives innovative strategies that improve outcomes and drive affordability for patients.
“The PBM marketplace is highly competitive with a multitude of different-sized companies, offering clients a wide range of coverage options,” said Park. “I’m thrilled to serve on the PCMA Board to not only provide a louder voice for my company, but also for the dozens of companies like mine and the millions of people we serve.”
Waltz Health, an EVERSANA company, was founded in 2021 and focuses on proprietary technology solutions. Park has served as president since 2023. His extensive experience provides him with some of the deepest knowledge and connections within the prescription drug supply chain.
