PCMA Releases New Video Ad “Possible” Showing How PBMs Reduce Prescription Drug Costs for Hard-Working Americans

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Today, the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) released a new advertisement called “Possible,” the second video ad of PCMA’s ongoing campaign: “PBMs. Lowering Drug Costs. Protecting Patients.” The seven-figure, always-on campaign is designed to highlight the enormous value pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) provide to patients and the entire health care system.

Explaining how PBMs work to drive down costs at the pharmacy counter, “Possible” continues the campaign’s focus on the savings PBMs deliver for American families.

David Marin, PCMA President and CEO, made the following statement on the release of the new video ad:

“This campaign is our commitment to telling the story of how PBMs positively impact patients’ lives every day. Real people are saving real money because of PBMs. Patients are healthier and safer because of PBMs. Our story has been inadequately and inaccurately told, but we are changing that. For our industry, it’s a new day. Our companies have transformed how they operate. and federal PBM reform is now law. The PBMs of today are not the PBMs of yesterday. But one thing is a consistent, as this ad states: ‘PBMs make medicines affordable for millions of Americans.’”
