In Review: Last week, HB 238, a Pharmacist Kitchen Sink Proposal, was introduced by Representative Phillip Rigsby (R).  The legislation seeks to update the PBM reform law passed in 2021 by the Alabama legislature. HB 238 brings back many items that PCMA and our stakeholders successfully negotiated out of the bill in 2021.

Up Next: HB 238 will be in the House Health Committee this Wednesday, March 6, at 10:30 A.M. PCMA is working with our local coalition partners to educate committee members before the hearing. PCMA expects HB 238 to pass out of committee this week and is already meeting with Senators to educate them on the issue.
