In Review: Tonia Sorrell-Neal and PCMA’s labor consultant, Fred Brown, participated in the Alaska State Chamber of Commerce Legislative Days in Juneau from January 25-26, where they met with several House and Senate legislators as well as business owners from around Alaska. In addition to joint meetings with the Chamber, they met individually with several legislators to provide information about the problematic language in SB 121 (omnibus) and HB 226 (MAC, mail, pharmacy reimbursement). They also attended the Alaska AFL-CIO Legislative reception and had an opportunity to speak with additional legislators and union leaders. To date, neither bill has been scheduled for a hearing.
