In Review: SB 134 (Licensure) was heard on May 15th in the House Health & Social Services Committee and was voted out of Committee; although it was referred to the Finance Committee, it has been removed and referred to Rules. HB 149 (licensure), its companion bill, was heard in the House Labor and Commerce Committee on May 13th. Both bills are presented as technical corrections to HB 226 (2024). No testimony was provided by either supporters or opposition in either committee meeting. PBMs were not directly discussed during the committee’s review of the bill or the amended language. The committee voted to advance HB 148. It has not been assigned, as amended. Meanwhile, HB 195 (pharmacy Scope of Practice), which grants pharmacists limited prescriptive authority for certain minor conditions and preventive therapies, was heard on May 15th.
