In Review: Last week was the start of the Arizona legislative session, and Representative Selena Bliss (R) filed another version of her dispensing fee bill from last year. This year, HB 2196 mandates actual costs plus a dispensing fee matching Arizona Medicaid, currently $10.11. The bill also mandates the creation of appeals processes that the Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions must approve. This week, PCMA and members are working with the policy committees at the Arizona Chamber and the Greater Phoenix Chamber to build the opposition to this mandate.
