In Review: Last week, PCMA, several members, and allies from the business community and insurers met with the health policy team of Governor Katie Hobbs (D) to express our concerns about the Governor’s anti-PBM rhetoric and proposals in her State of the State address. PCMA attempted to educate the staff about the role of PBMs in the drug supply chain and committed to helping them understand the value PBMs bring to Arizona plan sponsors and patients. Misinformation and anecdotes are driving the Governor’s position, but PCMA and our members are working to dispel them with facts. Save Our Benefits Arizona is working to place a joint op-ed by the Greater Phoenix Chamber and the Arizona Chamber, calling out the Governor and the republican legislators on the number of mandates they are proposing this session.
