In Review: Last week, PCMA and members met with the Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions (DIFI) to discuss DIFI’s first draft of the regulations implementing the PBM registration bill passed in 2023. Our discussion included questions related to the timeline for registration and the process of the application review. We also discussed revisions to the DIFI enforcement language and will be working with the Arizona team to develop some alternative language to the current draft. DIFI will continue to meet with PCMA and other stakeholders throughout the process, but DIFI expects to release the application in the coming weeks in order to begin the registration process ahead of the January 1, 2025 deadline.
