In Review: On Monday, the House Health & Human Services Committee passed the dispensing fee mandate in HB 2208. The proponents of the bill argued that the costs would not be passed on to the patients and that one state saved money by implementing the reimbursement model considered by the bill. PCMA counsel coordinated testimony in opposition with the Greater Phoenix Chamber and AHIP, but the members of the committee ignored the costs to Arizona patients, families, and plan sponsors. They also ignored the exclusion of the state employee plan from the mandate.
