Arizona Weekly Update 2.20.24

In Review: Last week was the deadline for committee work in a bill’s house of origin. This means that many of the governor’s anti-PBM and price-setting proposals are dead for this session. We also saw several mandate bills, such as restrictions on prior authorization, held in committees and defeated for this year. The remaining issues we are working to address are Senator Janae Shamp’s (R) frozen formulary bill and her audit bill. PCMA was able to get Sen. Shamp to remove affiliate language from the audit bill, but we still have a long way to go toward any agreement on the formulary exception processes the sponsor wants.
