In Review: Last week, Governor Katie Hobbs (D) signed SB 1165, the bill addressing pharmacy audits. The bill in its original form included restrictions on affiliate pharmacies, and PCMA was able to negotiate the affiliate language out of the bill through our work on the frozen formulary bill, SB 1164. We were able to finalize our negotiations with the independent pharmacists on mid-year formulary changes and formulary exception processes, and the final amendment was added to House Appropriations last week. We will continue to monitor the bill through the rest of the legislative steps but expect all House amendments to be accepted by the Senate.
