In Review: Late last week, the Joint Insurance Committee canceled its hearing to discuss the Arkansas Insurance Department’s dispensing fee rule. Members of the committee are concerned about the rule’s impact and would prefer to address any pharmacy reimbursement concerns through the legislative process. We are waiting to see how the Governor’s office responds to the legislative pushback, but several key legislators are adamantly opposed to approving the rule and increasing premiums.
