In Review: Last week, the Arkansas Insurance Department (AID) floated a draft rule to set PBM reimbursement mandates at 100% of NADAC, plus a dispensing fee of $10.50. Working with allies and the boots on the ground, we were able to raise concerns that made the Governor’s office kill the bill by Thursday evening. We are set to meet with the AID later this week to discuss their concerns about the number of reimbursement complaints being filed by Arkansas pharmacists, and we will continue to educate them on the true issues underlying these complaints. PCMA would like to thank the team of member companies, in-state lobbyists, and allies that helped stop this bad idea before it gained any traction.
