In Review: The Association of California Life Health and Insurance Companies (ACLHIC) and the California Association of Health Plans (CAHP) sent a joint letter to Governor Gavin Newsom (D) urging him to veto SB 955 (licensing, transparency, AWP, open formulary). Additionally, the ERISA Industry Committee (ERIC) sent a veto request based on federal preemption. Finally, both AHIP and the Cal Chamber sent veto requests.
Up Next: The governor has until September 30 to sign, veto, or let SB 966 become law without his signature.
