In Review: Last week, PCMA participated in a stakeholder meeting related to SB 80, the attempt to codify the federal Transparency in Coverage rule. PCMA expressed concerns regarding the Division of Insurance’s language that would allow them to craft reporting requirements that differ from the federal requirements. PCMA also expressed concerns about the tacit collusion that would occur with the public access to the data related to provider reimbursements after a provider group’s representative commented in support of the public access to information that would improve their negotiating power in contracting.
