In Review: Last week, PCMA received a copy of the Milliman actuarial analysis for SB 54, the weight-loss medication coverage mandate. The analysis suggested that the coverage mandate would result in cost increases of less than $2/per member per month. PCMA members are reporting estimates significantly higher than that and are gathering resources to share with legislators about the real-world impact of these drugs on healthcare costs. The Colorado Medicaid impact was estimated at $200 million in the first full year of coverage. PCMA also continues our efforts against the white bagging and prior authorization bills working through the General Assembly.
