In Review: PCMA began circulating a letter to the Joint Human Services Committee and legislative leadership about SB 8, which would create a Prescription Drug Affordability Board (PDAB). The bill’s current draft would allow the PDAB to set upper payment limits and apply them to self-funded plans. The letter discusses our concerns with the bill’s applicability to self-funded plans and requests the language impacting ERISA plans be struck from the bill. PCMA will continue to meet with legislative staff to discuss the bill and letter in detail in the coming weeks.
