In Review: The Office of Health Strategy (OHS) held an informational benchmarking hearing to review their 2021-2022 benchmarking reporting. OHS discussed the retail pharmacy spending trends for the year and was concerned about brand-name drug price increases. OHS invited three drug manufacturers to be panelists, but they all declined to participate. Josh Wojcik with the Comptroller’s Office walked through the State Employee Plan’s experience in working with their PBM and the challenges they face, with transparency being the theme of the discussion. PCMA plans to follow up with the Comptroller’s office to discuss their challenges.
