In Review: Last week, HB 697 by Representative Kincart Jonsson (R) received support from House Speaker Danny Perez (R). The bill encompasses a range of topics and is designed to have a broad impact on all stakeholders within the healthcare system. PCMA’s team is currently reviewing and will provide our thoughts to PCMA members. Additionally, PCMA’s legal department remains in close contact with the Office of Insurance Regulation.

Up Next: Five rules will be up for consideration during the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday, December 17. The intent is to clarify the office’s approach to market conduct examinations and enable the office to conduct orderly and systematic examinations of regulated entities more effectively. PCMA’s legal team has reviewed the meeting notice and draft rules.
