Georgia Weekly Update 1.29.24

In Review: Last week, HB 343, which is on POS Rebates, was in the Senate Health Committee and failed to pass by a vote of 9-5. Congressman Buddy Carter (R) spoke during the hearing in support of HB 343. Congressman Carter topped off his comments by referencing the Ohio Attorney General’s remarks, calling PBM Gangsters, stating that 63% of the drug price goes to the PBM and that Congress is trying to address issues with ERISA.

Up Next: HB 942, a white bagging bill, will be before the Insurance sub-committee today and the full committee on Wednesday. PCMA is working closely with the health plan association on the bill.
