In Review: Last week, both the House and Senate advanced PBM measures directed at the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP). HB 196, by Representative Trey Kelly (R), would require the SHBP to reimburse independent pharmacies at NADAC plus the Medicaid rate, passed out of the House Health Committee unanimously. Additionally, SB 91, which would prohibit the SHBP from contracting with a PBM who owns a retail pharmacy, passed out of the Senate Health and Human Services, with one no vote.
Up Next: This week, the House Subcommittee on Life and Health will hear HB 100 and HB 101. PCMA expects this to be a hearing only, with no vote being taken on the measures.
