Georgia Weekly Update 2.20.24

In Review: Last week, HB 942, a white bagging bill, was moved to a third committee in the House and passed. The House Public Health Chair, Sharon Cooper (R), requested that the bill be moved to her committee and immediately put the legislation on the agenda. PCMA and the GA Health Plan association spoke at the hearing in opposition.

Up Next: PCMA is hearing that the Pharmacists plan to introduce legislation that will study the State Health Benefit Plans drug acquisition cost for the current fiscal year and then compare the monthly costs to what NADAC pricing was for the current year. The legislation conveniently ignores a dispensing fee increase, which pharmacists have repeatedly claimed is necessary for NADAC pricing to work.
