Georgia Weekly Update 4.1.24

In Review: The Georgia legislature adjourned on Thursday, March 28. PCMA, our member company representatives, and coalition partners successfully defeated all major PBM-related bills. The legislature did pass one bill related to independent pharmacy reimbursement in the State Health Benefit Plan. SB 198, as passed, requires the PBM administering the State Health Benefit Plan to reimburse independent pharmacists similarly to the reimbursement that chains receive. The bill passed out of the House and was agreed to in the Senate before the session adjourned.

Up Next: While the legislative session is over, PCMA and our members will be focusing our attention on the Department of Insurance to address a recent expansion in the scope of the Data Call that PBMs have been complying with for nearly two years now.
