Idaho Weekly Update 3.18.24

In Review: PCMA member company representatives met with health plans in Boise last week to create a single proposed amendment document to HB 596 (ban on spread pricing, mandatory minimum pharmacy reimbursement, transparency, 100% pass-through, mail order, and white bagging). The two groups then met with Senator Paul Cook (R) to share the proposed amendments. Sen. Cook indicated he would consider the changes, which would require 18 out of 28 votes on the Senate floor to be adopted.

Up Next: While we wait for Sen. Cook’s response to the proposed amendments to HB 596, we have been urging members to reach out to Governor Brad Little’s (R) office to share our concerns about the bill. Members have also been asked to review a draft PCMA veto request letter in anticipation of the bill being passed.
