In Review: The Illinois legislative session will begin on January 16, and we are expecting a lot of PBM related legislation this session. The Department of Insurance has already drafted a Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) regulation bill. The proposed legislation includes affiliate and spread pricing language, 100% rebate pass-through, NADAC plus $10.49, specialty drug limitations, audit provisions, copay assistance reporting, and extensive drug and rebate reporting. There are also expectations that Representative Nabeela Syed (D) will sponsor a PDAB bill.
