In Review: PCMA and member companies continue to work on a strategy for HB4548, the Department of Insurance omnibus bill that is being promoted by Governor Jay Pritzker (D).

Up Next: House and Senate Banking and Insurance are scheduled to meet this week, and PCMA is still awaiting final word on whether these meetings will happen and what the final agenda will look like. As it stands, the following bills are scheduled for a hearing in the Senate: Senate Bill 2672 (Murphy-D) requires health plans to cover brand name drugs if generic is not available; Senate Bill 2789 (Murphy-D) – Frozen Formulary.
