In Review: Today, the anti-PBM legislation draft introduced three weeks ago by the Governor and the Department of Insurance was officially assigned as HB 3705. The bill is receiving a hearing this Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. in the House Executive Committee. PCMA is testifying in opposition to the bill. As you may recall, PCMA respectfully provided detailed feedback and concerns with the working draft of the PBM bill to Governor J.B. Pritzker’s (D) office, the Department of Insurance and the bill sponsor. Other stakeholders, including our detractors, have requested changes to the bill too. The conventional wisdom at this point is that there will not be any changes to the bill before Wednesday’s hearing.

Up Next: The House Executive Committee will hold a hearing on the bill on Wednesday. We expect amendments to the bill to come after Wednesday.
