In Review: PCMA and member companies met with the Illinois Department of Insurance (DOI) to review the DOI’s PBM bill containing steerage, an anti-mail order, a spread ban, transparency, and NADAC plus $10.49 reimbursement language. Following the meeting, PCMA redlined the bill and submitted proposed amendments to the department. In addition, a public affairs digital ad campaign, including grassroots and grass tops, is ongoing in opposition to that bill.

Up Next: There is a subject matter hearing on Monday, April 24, in Chicago. The Illinois Chamber is expected to testify, along with PCMA and possibly some labor representatives. PCMA plans to focus on the value proposition of PBMs in their testimony.
