Illinois Weekly Update 4.7.25

In Review: PCMA met with the Governor’s Office and the Department of Insurance (DOI) on April 1 to discuss PCMA’s concerns and suggested changes to the Governor’s PBM bill. The Governor’s office did not accept any of PCMA’s suggested changes. The Governor’s office indicated the new legislative vehicle, currently a ‘shell bill’, will be SB 709.

Up Next: The Governor’s office and the DOI will likely introduce a new version of the bill around April 8 so they can meet the Third Reading Deadline (first chamber) by April 11. PCMA is finalizing details for an ad campaign to be launched opposing SB 709.
