In Review: Governor JB Pritzker’s (D) office has released a new “Walkthrough” document that goes through the provisions of the bill. As of this date, there is no statutory language. Provisions in the bill include:

• 100% rebate pass-through
• A $15 per covered individual fee, with the money going to pharmacy grants through DCEO
• Reported data shared with a university-TBD, for a “Pharmacist Dispensing Fee Cost Study”
• Market conduct exams every 5 years.

Up Next: We are awaiting new statutory language, which will be created as an amendment to SB 709. The conventional wisdom is that the bill language will be introduced this week, with hearings taking place next week.
