Indiana Weekly Update 1.13.25

In Review: The Indiana Legislative Session is underway. On Tuesday at 8:30 AM, the Indiana House Committee on Public Health will hear HB 1200. The bill, linked here, limits prescribers of subdermal opioids to a 180-day supply. At this time, the bill is limited to prescriber authority without altering Title 27 insurance statutes. On Wednesday at 9:30 AM, the Senate Insurance and Financial Institutions Committee will hear SB 220, a bill to mandate coverage for dementia medications and prohibit the use of step therapy for these drugs. The scope of this bill is limited to the state health plan.
