Indiana Weekly Update 2.3.25

In Review: The Senate Committee on Health advanced SB 3, a bill that would mandate fiduciary duties on PBMs. PCMA testified in opposition to the measure and has worked with the bill sponsor to narrow the definition of fiduciary duty. The Committee adopted some recommended changes in committee. PCMA will continue to offer necessary modifications as the legislation advances to the Senate Floor.

Up Next: This Wednesday, the Senate Committee on Health will hold a vote on SB 503, a bill to require the state plan to engage a single PBM through a public-private partnership. PCMA previously testified in opposition to this measure on the basis of anti-competitive restrictions on access to a public bid. We will monitor for amendments to the proposal.
