In Review: The approved amendments, including PCMA language on a “rural pharmacy reimbursement rate” and PSAO licensure to HF 2401 (Spread Pricing Ban/AWP/Networks/MAC/Discrimination), which were agreed to last week, were presented to the bill sponsor by PCMA and members companies, along with Wellmark, the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, and the Iowa Insurance Federation. HF 2488 (Prior Authorization/Gold Carding), which was worked on during the interim by Wellmark, passed the House of Representatives. As a reminder, this bill does not include prescription drugs. While there was talk of amendments being included which would bring in prescription drugs, that did not happen.
Up Next: An all-stakeholder meeting has been called on HF 2401 for Tuesday morning to further discuss the bill.
