Iowa Weekly Update 4.14.25

In Review: PCMA and its members provided our coalition members language on the kitchen sink anti-PBM bills, HF 852/SF 383, that answer the concerns that were expressed by the Senate sponsor, Senator Mike Klemish (R). Those specific items included defining specialty pharmacy, defining rural/small pharmacy, and creating any willing pharmacy language for rural areas. Last week the pharmacists had another rally at the Capitol to voice their issues. PCMA and members of its coalition met with House leadership and discussed the issue.  House leadership indicated they want the bill to start in the Senate.

Up Next: The coalition is working on a draft framework of ideas based on the language PCMA provided last week. Once received, PCMA will share it with its members.
