In Review: Early last week, a fiscal note was posted relative to the kitchen sink anti-PBM bill, SF 383. Last Wednesday, SF 383 was placed on the Senate debate calendar, and amendment language (S-3104), which was not from our coalition, was also posted (the language made the bill worse, rather than better). Our local lobbyists and coalition members worked on the matter, got numerous entities to engage, and the bill was not heard. On Wednesday evening, the companion bill, HF 852, was placed on the House debate calendar for Thursday, but again, neither the House nor the Senate took up the bill. On April 16, the Senate passed HF 303, which deals with prior authorization but does not include pharmacy.
Up Next: The PBM bills (SF 383/HF 852) were not listed on either the House or Senate debate calendars for Monday, April 21.
