Iowa Weekly Update 4.7.25

In Review: Last Friday was the second funnel deadline. The kitchen sink anti-PBM bills HF 852/SF 383 have moved along enough that they are funnel-proof, so we will be dealing with them until the end of session. Senator Mike Klemish (R), who is the Senator sponsor of SF 383, had a meeting with the various payors in our coalition last week. It was noted that the Senator’s three biggest concerns to be addressed are: defining specialty pharmacy, defining rural/small pharmacy, and creating any willing pharmacy language for rural areas.

Up Next: PCMA and its members are reviewing the language we have drafted thus far relative to the anti-PBM bills and are looking at ways to solve the any willing pharmacy issue.
