Iowa Weekly Update 6.30.25

In Review: Last Monday, the Iowa Association of Business and Industry, along with a group of plaintiffs representing Iowa businesses, business associations, and labor unions, took legal action against the recently enacted SF 383. The lawsuit was filed in federal court in Des Moines. Last Wednesday, the Iowa Insurance Division (IID) posted on their website pharmacy lists which categorize each pharmacy for use when determining which dispensing fee should be paid (in addition to NADAC) as required under the recently enacted anti-PBM law, SF 383. It was noted that if a pharmacy has been miscategorized, the IID should be contacted via email at pbm.market.conduct@iid.iowa.gov.

Up Next: PCMA will be having a member meeting this morning to discuss this matter and possible concerns members may have. Also, as a reminder, SF 383 goes into effect on July 1. So far, all we have received on guidance from IID is the list of pharmacies.
