In Review: The Iowa Insurance Division (IID) held its Annual Industry Meeting on Friday to discuss proposed bill drafts for the upcoming legislative session. The only bill draft of note dealt with “HSA cost-sharing language for mandates” and it was noted by IID that this was needed due to a recent bill that passed dealing with breast cancer screenings and protects people in high deductible plans. Wellmark had numerous questions about this. During the open comment period, PCMA suggested that regulation of PSAOs would be a good idea as it would help IID to give more transparency in the supply chain. PCMA said they are working on providing language to IID. They said they looked forward to the language, and there were no other comments.
