In Review: Last week, PCMA held a call with members to discuss a recent virtual meeting with the Department of Insurance (DOI) regarding the implementation of SB 188 and the next steps. During PCMA’s virtual meeting with Department staff, DOI stated that four separate rules focused on the dispensing fee, pharmacy networks, and licensing. Additionally, the Department hinted that the formal rulemaking process may not even begin until 2025.

Up Next: PCMA will be drafting a letter to DOI, the Board of Pharmacy, and others outlining the industry’s initial concerns and roadblocks some companies are dealing with related to the dispensing fee.
