In Review: Last week, PCMA met with the House and Senate Insurance Committee Chairs to discuss several bills that were introduced before the session began. Additionally, while in Baton Rouge, PCMA met with a group of Pharmacists who had broken away from the Louisiana Independent Pharmacy Association. The intent of the meeting was to discuss areas of concern and potential opportunities to work together. At the end of the meeting, the group acknowledged that these conversations will take time; we will not always be able to be in alignment, but hopefully, we will have a better understanding of each other to avoid drama at the legislature, where possible.

Up Next:  PCMA anticipates that healthcare-related insurance measures will be in committees the week of April 16, with the possibility that SB 210 will be heard the week prior.
