Louisiana Weekly Update 4.29.24

In Review: Last week, PCMA spoke against SB 347, a POS rebate bill, and SB 444, related to pharmacy reimbursement. While both measures were ultimately passed out of committee, PCMA and our members have had several conversations with Senate Leadership, leading us to believe that the bills are unlikely to advance. HB 509 (patient assistance/coupons) will be turned into a study resolution; the Audit measures appear to be headed to resolution outside of the legislature, with PCMA working closely with the department on regulation around the “Quality Assurance Reviews.” Finally, HB 704 (PBM incentive program) will be tabled for the year.

Up Next: While we currently do not anticipate any measures in committee this week, there are several issues that we are engaging in and monitoring. PCMA will send the draft regulation from the Department once we receive it.
