In Review: The Health Coverage, Insurance, and Financial Services (HCIFS) held a work session on a NADAC plus Medicaid reimbursement bill. PCMA previously testified on increased costs associated with the bill, citing West Virginia data. The sponsor, also the House chair of HCIFS, introduced a verbal amendment at the start of the work session. No one was able to review the amendment, but it states that a PBM may not reimburse a non-affiliate pharmacy less than a PBM-affiliated pharmacy.
Up Next: PCMA will participate in a work session on a delinking and a ban on spread pricing bill on Thursday, May 8. PCMA sent a redline to the sponsor and the Bureau of Insurance. PCMA will continue working with HCIFS committee members on the costs of delinking.
