In Review: PCMA participated in the third meeting of the Maryland PBM work group this week. The group reviewed existing laws around specialty dispensing and patient out-of-pocket caps and the impact to Marylanders on potential changes to the definition of specialty drug, as well as inflationary increases on the drug co-pay cap. The group will meet a final time on October 31 to review its interim report to the legislature and any potential legislative recommendations for 2026. The work group will reconvene in 2026 to continue its analysis on a host of PBM-related topics and make recommendations for future policies in the state.
